Mission

My mission is to help individuals focus on and heal from their wounding experiences so that they can live the life they want rather than the life they think they should or the life they feel stuck living.  I specialize in working with individuals and families with trauma histories, grief and loss, and attachment-related difficulties.

Method

I specialize in working with individuals and families with trauma histories, grief and loss, and attachment difficulties.  I approach my work from a depth psychology perspective and work with clients to understand and heal the roots of their pain rather than focusing solely on symptom management. I approach clients from a holistic model addressing the body, mind, and underlying intrapersonal and interpersonal systems by utilizing attachment and relational theory, interpersonal neurobiology, expressive arts, Gestalt interventions, psychodrama, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, somatic interventions, dream analysis, and nature-based activities in therapy.

Experience

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor with a Ph.D. in Depth Psychology, specializing in Integrative and Healing Practices. I am licensed in multiple states (FL, GA, HI, and TX) and am a Registered Sandplay Practitioner.  I have been a nationally recognized Trainer/Consultant of Nurturing Parenting® Programs since 2011 and have earned Educator status in Trust Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI), a caregiver model for working with struggling youth.  With 20 years of experience in the mental health field, my background includes working as a foster/adopt caseworker, therapist, parent coach, and administrator in various settings, including wilderness, residential, community mental health, and inpatient settings.

Interests

I enjoy spending time with my family in nature and am an avid reader of all things mythology, mysteries, and women’s issues. I am passionate about social justice, art, promoting others, and travel.  I spent my teen formative years growing up in Europe, attending an international school, which gave me a great appreciation for learning about other cultures.  I am a staunch ally for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent, or as my daughter claims, “neurospicy,” folkx.
