Mission

My mission is to help young adult and adolescent males struggling with screen addiction, nature deprivation, oppositional defiance, motivation, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I aim to guide them in recognizing their innate strengths, leading them to discover their passions and purpose, thereby increasing their resilience.

Method

With a trauma-informed, person-centered, and mindfulness approach, I believe in each person's expertise about themselves. I maintain that everyone is passionate and purposeful and can create an enjoyable life. I strive to instill hope in my clients and create a safe and stable environment to build trust and rapport, enabling them to embrace growth.

Experience

I have over a decade of experience in developing therapeutic programming and direct care services for teens, adults, and families in residential, wilderness, and nature-based therapy settings. I have worked as a guide, group facilitator, and counselor. Additionally, I have spent over ten years in Hawai’i as an interpretive naturalist guide creating curated retreats for families seeking a healing experience on the Hawaiian Islands.

Interests

I am passionate about the outdoors and its essential role in well-being. I enjoy exploring Hawai’i from the mountains to the ocean, often surfing with my son or hiking in the rainforest with my family. I am also enthusiastic about Hawaiian culture, mo’olelo, bird-nerding, native plant species, and playing the guitar.
